Yaluk-ut Weelam Ngargee is always looking for enthusiastic and responsible volunteers to give a helping hand, and is a great way to gain experience working within a major festival environment.

Your responsibilities as a volunteer at the one-day celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and culture might include:

  • Distributing information and brochures
  • Answering questions and directing attendees regarding program activities, locations etc.
  • Bump in / bump out
  • Assisting with general event activities
  • Conducting surveys with the visiting public

Priority will be given to applicants currently studying or recently graduated in the fields of event management, music business or similar courses.

Applications will open later in the year. Please note, applicants must be over 18 at time of event to apply.

Working with Children's Check

As part of Council’s commitment to Child Safe Standards, we require all our Festival volunteers to hold a current Working with Children Check. As a volunteer, it is free to apply.
